"We are delighted with our remodelled house. For us it was ideal to have one person responsible for both the design and project management of the build. Martyn took our ideas and improved them no end - seeing the potential of simple changes to our home that we just hadn't thought of which have transformed the way we use the space. Our build was completed to a very high standard and finished both on time and on budget which is a rarity!"

This property had an existing attic conversion, a typical ‘shed on the roof’ which would have looked incongruous with a new contemporary rear addition. So we removed the ‘clag’ gutters, downpipe and soffit boards and, with the introduction of simple glazed screens and a shutter, gave it a much sharper stripped-down feel. Painting the window frames grey to match the roof to help it to recede into the roof plane.

A simple material palette of iroko worktops, white cabinetry with stainless steel trims and oak flooring provides for a calm practical kitchen/dining space. The owners are both keen cooks and requested a traditional clay oven as part of the landscaping of the garden.
