The house had various incremental additions resulting in sprawling front and rear elevations. These extensions were stripped away to restore the house to its original symmetrical proportions. A new freestanding pavilion attached to the main house by a two storey glazed link provides 2,500 sq ft of additional space over three levels. A basement houses a gym, home theatre, and office, with kitchen, dining area and a TV snug on the ground floor. An upper level, consisting of the master bedroom with en-suite and dressing areas, is accessed via a bridge through the glazed link. A smaller side extension houses a double garage,an extension to the main drawing room and a terrace at the upper level. A large sliding glazed screen (8m x 3m) opens up the entire length of the kitchen onto a yorkstone terrace. Oak flooring throughout the ground floor ties the new and existing together.
