Tremlett Grove

"Working with Martyn I really benefitted not only from his great eye for detail and design sensibilities but from his years of experience working on similar remodelling/ renovation projects.  It would be easier to build a house from scratch than remodel a Victorian terraced house but Martyn really has cracked it and we are 100% happy with the result. He was also a pleasure to work with."

The owner had recently returned from living in France where she had restored an old Chateau so consequently had much more ‘stuff’ than the house could fit in, so some difficult ‘decluttering’ was required. The resultant home still has a very distinct imprint of its owner and her collection of artifacts from travels through Europe, The Middle East, and North Africa which sit in harmony with the contemporary refurbishment and extension of the house. The extension is cut into a steep sloping garden to the rear. A reduced level was created for the kitchen and patio levels to create a better floor to ceiling height internally. Shallow granite steps transistion into the relandscaped garden beyond.
